Truth and Conciliation Commission

The Truth and Conciliation Commission was created as one result of the Resolution to Repudiate the Doctrine of Discovery at their Diocesan Convention in 2022. It’s roots began before that as a committee tasked with researching and writing the resolution. Since that time, the commission has created Indigenous partnerships and working groups to further the work of repudiation. We are part of the Repair Network through the Coalition to Dismantle the Doctrine of Discovery (https://dismantlediscovery.org/ and partners with WeX, a grassroots movement among the Confederated Tribes of the Warm Springs to promote equity and healing.
